Cameron Mesirow, her stage name Glasser, is one of those musicians I hold in high esteem. Born of New Wave royalty, her mother was Casey Cameron, one of the members of Human Sexual Response and her father is a member of Blue Man Group.
Releasing her first EP in 2009, she explores the sound of swooshing synthesizers paired on top of foreboding percussion, reminiscent of Cocteau Twins. Her vocals range from sweet melodic choruses, to angelic chants to yelps worthy of Kate Bush similarities.
Glasser‘s catalog includes several albums and EPs and no less than a bazillion remixes.
Strawberry Tongue Radio is featuring the tracks Apply (from the Apply EP) and Tremel from the Ring album.
