The Horn The Hunt

The Horn The HuntI have a number of places to look for new music that I can almost reliably count on. One of those places is White Label Music (WLM) out of the U.K. White Label Music is a partnership by Marc Hunter and Ann Shenton, formerly of Add (n) to X. I check their site out occasionally to see if they have new artists and I listen to all of them. They tend towards electronic and experimental, which frequently fits quite nicely with the ethos of Strawberry Tongue.

One of the bands I discovered from WLM in the last few years is The Horn The Hunt. Clare Carter and Joseph Osborne are a two piece, atmospheric pop band that has found inspiration in various environments including a flat in Norway, a room carved into the side of a canyon in the middle of Spain, and then some more in an old school in Dordrecht, Holland. Their final destination was Leeds, England, where they completed their debut self-titled album, independently released in 2009.Their live performances feature electronic and live instruments, costumes and visuals.

Clare’s vocals are powerful and mesmerizing layering on top of the heavy synth and bass that the duo create. Swirling, soaring, crashing and devastating. The Horn The Hunt create powerful soundscapes that elevate you to another world.

Strawberry Tongue Radio is excited to be featuring the tracks Depressuer Jolie, White Light Black Noise and Lungs from The Horn The Hunt.
